Schouten Island Figural Suspension Hook, PNG. Carved in the form of a pair of ancestors, standing on a double-sided winged fox, functioning as the hook. Fine encrusted reddish-brown patina with remnants of red pigments. (31,5cm) 1st half 20th century. Field-collected by Chris Boylan, ex. private Chicago collection, ex. Marc Assayag. Sold.
