A cotton ikat slendang from Kisar island, Maluku, Indonesia. The motif of the ancestor on this waistband is made with the ikat supplementary weaving and dying technic. Kisar is a tiny island, close by Timor. 1st half 20th century. 158 x 72cm. Private collection. Please ask for price.
